Is the Institute a Consulting Organization?

The institute’s services are better than traditional consulting.

Certainly, we will suggest strategies, solutions, and courses of action.  However, our focus is to train and coach on operations science in the context of the customer’s business. People inevitably grasp the science and then turn and apply the concepts more quickly and more effectively than any consultant ever could.  The people who do the work know the work best. The OSI and operations science serve as catalysts for customer success.

Traditional consulting arrangements often set up adversarial situations.  Traditional consultants provide best practices, software, or tools that are either forgotten or poorly used after the consultant leaves.
