OSI Insider

Most people encounter operations science and immediately want to know, “Where do I start?” OSI Insider is a structured path through the core concepts, designed to get you oriented quickly and build toward real application. Work through it at your own pace, in the sequence that matters to you.

Two-Minute Videos

Operations science covers a lot of ground. These short videos isolate individual concepts such as variability, utilization, flow, and inventory dynamics and explain them clearly in two minutes or less. Useful for your own learning and easy to share with a team or a class.

Online Certification

The Flow Leadership Certification is a rigorous, self-paced program that builds a complete understanding of operations science, from first principles through practical application. For organizations, it provides a shared framework that makes improvement efforts more coherent and more effective.

The Operations Science Podcast

Real practitioners. Real conversations. Each episode explores how operations science applies in a specific context including manufacturing, supply chain, services, project management, healthcare, and more. Hosted by Edward Pound, Managing Director of OSI.

Blog

The OSI blog addresses the questions practitioners actually face: why good intentions don’t always produce better performance and what the science says about the management decisions you make every day

Articles

A growing library of papers and presentations on operations science education and application. Available to registered users. Create a free account and log in for access. Topics range from foundational theory to sector-specific case material. If you’d like to contribute or suggest a topic, we’d like to hear from you.

Supplemental Books

Operations science draws on a rich body of research. Beyond OSI’s own titles, we maintain a curated reading list of books that deepen understanding and extend the framework into specific domains. These are the works we recommend to serious students of the field.

Webinars

OSI webinars bring operations science to life through focused presentations and live discussion. Past sessions cover specific applications, common misconceptions, and practical implementation challenges.

Insider Professional

Applying operations science inside an organization is accelerated by bolstering training with supporting activities. These include building internal credibility, navigating resistance, and sustaining momentum over time, often without many peers who share the same framework.

Insider Professional is being built for exactly that situation. Members will have access to a peer community of operations practitioners working with the same concepts, advanced content that goes beyond the foundational curriculum, and preferred pricing on select OSI offerings.

If you’re a current or past client, or you’re actively working to bring operations science into your organization, this is worth watching.
